Pastor Kwon Sung-keun: The Jackpot and the Empty Box of Salvation

Salvation given by God is a 'jackpot,' but it becomes an 'empty box' if not shared.
The ultimate purpose of all learning is to know God and become like Him.
1 John 4:19: We love because He first loved us.
Philosopher Kim Hyung-seok: 'I was happy because there was love (God) even in the midst of much suffering.'
We must ask ourselves: For what purpose were we saved?

Realizing the Kingdom of God

The Kingdom of God is not a future time, but something that arrives within us now.
Martin Luther King Jr.'s 'I Have a Dream' signifies the visible realization of God's Kingdom on earth.
Like the hidden arrow and spoon in the FedEx logo, we must discover value in unseen places.
God's Kingdom should be experienced in our homes, neighborhoods, and workplaces.
Our lives must become the territory of God's Kingdom.

A Society Without Discrimination and Christ-Centered Faith

Galatians 3:28: We aim for a society without discrimination based on race, wealth, or gender.
We must shift from heaven-centered faith to Christ-centered living faith.
The 'running to and fro' in Daniel 12:4 refers to increasing knowledge through diligent Bible study, not just technological advancement.
It is more important to ask 'where' the Kingdom of God is experienced than 'when'.
Christians should not flee to the mountains to avoid temptation, but engage in mission within the world.

Loving Yourself and Serving with Humility

God saved us not because of our qualifications, but because of His love.
Humility originates from 'humanity' (earth/soil), acknowledging we are dust-like beings.
Sin breeds a desire to dominate, but Christ emptied Himself to take the form of a servant.
We must abandon the desire to appear righteous and treat others as precious souls.
We must practice the ethics of love by adding the virtues mentioned in 2 Peter.

Small Groups for Social Change and Reform

John Wesley's Methodist movement was a new methodology to change the world.
Small groups exist to discover grace, grow in grace, and live gracefully.
We must treat people as precious souls, not as targets for church membership.
Social solidarity and neighborly love are essential practices for Christians.
The church must be a conduit that meets the needs of the local community.

With the Heart of the Innkeeper

The priest and Levite worried about 'what would happen to me,' but the Samaritan worried about 'what would happen to him if I don't help.'
Don't ask who my neighbor is; be a neighbor first.
The innkeeper was a true neighbor who honored the Samaritan's request despite being a Jew.
Jesus brings people in need of help before us.
We must live as good neighbors not just on the Sabbath, but every moment.

Dr. Cho Sang-ik: Testimony and the Beginning of Change

His father, a doctor, chased wealth and fame but collapsed after losing everything and falling ill.
His mother's sacrificial love and forgiveness raised his father back up.
The law of the world condemns, but God's law is the law of love.
His father overcame his pride through suffering and met God.

Spiritual Growth Through Suffering

Dr. Cho was at the bottom of his class in medical school but changed after seeking wisdom from God.
He changed the purpose of his studies from worldly success to understanding God's providence.
He kept his promise to never be late, never doze off, and never copy others.
He did his best to avoid being called a 'fool' by answering the professor's questions.
God gives wisdom and opens paths to those who obey.

Studies of Sharing and Serving

His grades began to rise when he chose sharing over competition.
He realized that sincerity always communicates while teaching friends.
He rejected the nickname 'God of Study' and confessed that only God is God.
His perfect GPA was not for himself, but a result for God's glory.
True study is not to defeat others, but to serve them.

Health Message and Salt and Light

The core of the health message is remembering the Creator and realizing His love.
When our lives become worship, those around us glorify God.
Salt and light are the disinfectants for a sick world.
We must hold onto the cross of Jesus Christ and walk that path.
Jesus strengthens us and protects us from the evil one.
